The Berlin Wall was the most deadly border in the world. Capitalism and communism collided here with one another during the cold war.

Berlin was divided into the communist East and the capitalist West. People from East Berlin (East Sector) were not allowed to travel to West Berlin, and the Berlin Wall with its sophisticated border fortifications prevented them from doing it.

The Berlin Wall has almost completely disappeared from the todays cityscape.
It is very difficult today to find the still present traces of the Berlin Wall.

There are only a few places with the remaining parts of the original wall. "Where, in fact, was this deadly border?", many tourists and also the people of Berlin ask themselves. "Am I in the west or in the east, or even in the so-called death strip?"

Visitors and interested people need a lot of time and much knowledge of the place to find these traces.

This app shows exactly where you currently are at any time.
Moreover, the users get important background information on historic sites and events that concern the border fortifications.
